My Week in Vintage: Top Ten

Weekly journal of the top ten things that rocked my (vintage) world.

Actually this week, it’s just one person who rocked my world – DEBRA CRONIN. And for the past few days I’ve been on a Debra Cronin interiors bender (and yes, there is such a thing). This Sydney-based designer creates the most magnificent nooks of dead people’s stuff – in a bad-ass shabby chic meets reclaimed vintage style.

Museum-style taxidermy. Crumbling plaster walls. Old French wooden shutters. Leather covered Louis XVI vintage chairs. Crystal decanter light shades. Religious reliquary. Blood-red velvet chaise lounges. Persian rugs. Industrial stools. Art Deco mirrors. Large clam shells. These are the types of things that make up Debra’s unique vintage style. Debra describes her home as Alice in Wonderland meets the Addams family”. Hollerback girl.

And if that wasn’t enough, I also stumbled across a bombshell fashion shoot featuring Debra’s Woollahra home, lensed by Emmanuel Giraud. Sigh…

You can decorate your space like regular people, or you can blow the doors right off with old-world Debra Cronin style. My perfect place…A world full of splendours.
